GM&R Presentation

Well, the presentation for GM&R went a lot better than I thought it would.  I'm so glad it's over.  The other girl in our group seemed a little lost when she was talking, especially about Prometheus, but I think we'll get a good grade.

We better win best cover page.  Those drawings that other group did sucked.  (I'm totally sure the Greek gods and goddesses looked like anime characters, right.)  Doing stuff like that is not easy.  Not that I would know, Shannen made the cover.  Also, some awesome origami DOOM cranes.

Speaking of GM&R class, why is it that people in that class keep insisting that Eve didn't know that she wasn't supposed to eat of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?  She quite clearly says, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden; it is only about the fruit in the tree of the middle of the garden that God said, 'You shall not eat it or even touch it, lest you die.'" Gen 3:2-3.*

Are we not bothering to read stuff anymore, or are people just stupid?  I know it's all cool and exciting to rebel against long held views that seem outdated and oppressive, but sometimes you just need to stuff a sock in it; cause you're an idiot.  The story was written that way for a reason.  It's purpose is not to say, "Ooh, Eve did a bad bad thing, all women are evil.", no matter how many people have, do, or will read it that way.  It is an allegorical account of the fall of man and the sin which lead to said fall.  Man put himself before God, committed a sin of pride, and there were consequences.

And Adam ate the apple too.  Just because some people ignore that part and place all the blame on Eve, doesn't mean that you should.

Huh, I went off on a tangent, now didn't I?

Wow, those people are dumb. I mean...yea, I'm not totally big on religion or anything...but I at least know that. Oy. Some people really need to take a look at the bigger picture sometimes....or try reading. Lol.
